* Tags
All the entries are tagged, except the reminders, most links in the (future) sidebar go to a tag page, so I would appreciate it if you would tag your posts as well.
* Awards
It seems to me we should all give out awards the same way. This is what I propose:
- 1-3 entries: 1st Place
- 4-6 entries: 1st, 2nd
- 7-9 entries: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
- 10-14 entries: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Mod's Choice
- 15-19 entries: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Mod's Choice, Honourable Mention (aka 'Fourth Place')
- 20 entries and up: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Mod's Choice, Honourable Mention, extra categories like 'Best Use Of Text'
* Voting
Personally I prefer voting in comments, because if somebody makes a mistake, I can just reply to their comment so they can rectify it. Also you cannot edit polls once they're posted, when you use a non-text poll people can see the outcome and when using a textpoll you still need to count votes, so polls are not really an option for me. Having said that, I am not forbidding you to use polls for the voting.
Now, counting the votes. Very simple, the icon that got the most votes wins first place, etcetera. If there's a tie, you count the points that each of the icons involved in the tie got, like so:
* for every 1st place: 3 points
* for every 2nd place: 2 points
* for every 3rd place: 1 points
If you've still got a tie between two icons, that's fine, they get joined placing. If there's still a tie between more than two icons, I recommend you post a tiebreak vote.
* Comments
The default is that all the comments on every post are screened. You can change this when you post, for example for the post with the winners. It's a good idea to disable comments when you post a reminder to avoid people posting their entries in a comment on the post with the reminder and not the challenge post.
